Hiked into Warner Springs today. Hiked about 7 miles through beautiful meadows and rolling hills. Passed Eagle Rock, a properly named rocky feature.

Then came to Warner Springs Community Resource Center. Lots of hikers gathered here. Able take a bucket shower with warm water, soap and shampoo. Felt good to be clean. Also did laundry in sink and hung on cloths line.

Outfitter in trailer there. Picked up a few items then mailed back unneeded items from local post office. Put extra food and few other items in “Hiker Box” for others to take and keep.

Sleeping in hiker shelter to night with about eight other hikers. Will head out early tomorrow. Weather forecast clear and high of 75 degrees.

  1. We used to go camping at warner Springs when I was a scout, too! You’re passing through all my old stomping grounds!
