4/9/18

This morning as usual I started hiking about 6am. I came to White Water river and had a cold soaked breakfast of oatmeal which I really am enjoying. I got some water and headed up the trail with other hiker, who had been there that night. We climbed all morning and then came to Mission Creek.

We crossed the creek about a dozen times allowing us to get water and to soak our bandannas and hats to help keep his cool. We climbed all afternoon and stopped about 6 PM at the last water before the Lake Fire closure, which we are not allowed to camp in. I hiked about 16 miles a day I had come to an elevation of about 5100 feet. It’s been a hard hot day.
