Back on the trail. Hitched a ride to the Devils Slide trail head. Then hike toward Mount San Jacinto. Beautiful views from the altitude of about 8100 feet.

Since I had climbed Mount San Jacinto previously I elected to hike around the summit. While doing that the clouds came in and the wind started blowing. Winds strong enough to knock you over. With the clouds came moisture that concentrated on the trees and it was as if it was raining underneath the trees. Eventually the cloud level dropped and could see them from above as the sunset.

I climb down Fullers Ridge to about 6400 feet and saw some interesting rock formations on the way down.

Set up camp on that windy ridge about sunset and slept well after hiking about 17 miles.
