4/27/18. Had breakfast at the little restaurant and market outside of Hiker Town. They fixed us wonderful ham and cheese omelettes. After cleaning up an organizing a bit six of us set out across the flat desert by the aqueduct. At times it was open or a pipe or covered with concrete.
We continued hiking all afternoon and then the wind came up. By the time we got to the wind farm and water source it was dusk and we had wind gust up 50 mph. We tried to camp in little draw but it provided little protection. The wind and local dust blew through my tent all night nearly collapsing my tent and covering everything with a layer of dust. It was a rough night.
